Every painting serves as a point of reference for myself and a portal of transformation for someone else.” |
I am inspired by the Italian Renaissance and the scientific studies, religious-art-integration, and great attention to detail during that era. I'm also inspired by the Symbolism movement. I find that symbolism teaches us about ourselves, as a lot of symbols carry universal meanings across cultures.
The inspiration behind my artwork is an amalgamation of different symbols and personal interpretations of lore coming from different spiritual systems. Perhaps there are metaphors for different psychological events. You may see remnants of the aesthetic of different fine art art movements. And then I may completely deviate from that and do installation/sculpture. |
